Ministerial Visit September 10 2010

The Honorable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Agriculture will be visiting British Columbia on September 10th 2010. Town Hall Meetings are being hosted by Sechelt Legion Branch #140 and West Vancouver Legion Branch #60 and John Weston, Member of Parliament, West Vancouver/Sunshine Coast/Sea to Sky Country.

Invitation to HMCS Malahat - September 17-19 2010

As this is the Canadian Navy's centennial year, Malahat is doing its part in celebrating, commemorating, and commintting by hosting a Centennial weekend for all former and current members of Malahat.

Youth Remembrance Contests

The Annual Youth Remembrance Contests have once again proven what exceptional artistic expression and literery prose we have in our shcools througout the Command.

2010 National Sea Cadet of the Year

BC/ Yukon Command proudly announces the award for the National Sea Cadet of the Year was granted to CPO1 Cooper William Morrow. Cheif Morrow has just finished Grade 12 in Pitt Meadows and this summer he will be one of the HMCS Quadra Chiefs.

NTFC Canadian Youth Championships

The Legion's National Track and Field Championships will be held at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility, Mooney's Bay, Ottawa Ontario, August 5-9 2010.

Veterans Transition Program

The horrific memories from the ravages of war resonate in the minds of those who served in the cause of peace.  Trauma related stress is real!  This ailment must be sensitively treated, not only for the individual but also for the loved ones. The Veterans Transition Program is specifically designed to care for these invisible wounds.
