On behalf of BC/Yukon Command, Fenety Marketing Company is managing the annual fundraising telephone appeal to support the free publication of the "Military Services Recognition Book". The 2010 fundraising campaign commences in January and concludes in June and your continued support is greatly appreciated.
The annual "Military Services Recognition Book" is a meaningful and educational portrayal of military experiences by Veterans from British Columbia and the Yukon. The book affords the reader the opportunity to gain an appreciation of duty, service and sacrifice as witnessed through the valour of our Veterans.
12,500 copies of the book are made available free of charge to schools, public libraries and community social agencies. This is made possible through the fundraising campaign where corporate advertising as well as public donations cover the publishing expenses.
As well, proceeds from the fundraising are used to improve the quality of life of all citizens in need through a vast array of community charitable initiatives. The Legion's charitable work extends far into the community. When other agencies are unable to respond, the Legion is there.
Your support of the "Military Services Recognition Book" in turn enhances the lives of many, from all walks of life. In requesting your continued support in 2010, we are mindful of the economic challenges facing so many. These times also place greater need on the Legion's services and we must rise to the occasion.
