INTRODUCTION
The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) serves as a formidable advocate on behalf of Veterans and Current Serving Members of the Canadian Forces. At the national level, the RCL Dominion Command is respected among government agencies, as consistently representing the best interests of veterans and Canadian Forces Members. At the regional level when issues arise which require government advocacy, BC/Yukon Command consults with those directly affected, and advances these interests to the national forum.
NEW VETERANS CHARTER
The most recent advocacy undertaking by The Royal Canadian Legion was the collaboration with many diverse government agencies, as well as like-minded Canadian Forces and Veterans Organizations, to assist in the drafting of the new Veterans Charter.
